I am writing to introduce you to Genesis House, a non-profit, employment-focused program that serves Livingston County. We match area businesses with enthusiastic, hard-working employees.
Among the services that we offer is the Transitional Employment program. This model has been a national success for 53 years. Genesis House has produced success stories in Livingston County since 1995. Transitional Employment takes the burden of recruiting and training off the employer. We train members of Genesis House to fill positions for 6-9 months at a time, and when one member's rotation is over, another equally qualified and trained member takes over the position.
We ensure that your needs, as the employer, are met every day. We provide ongoing training and support, to your standards. We guarantee absence coverage, so that if the member cannot attend, Genesis House staff will take their place, all at no cost to you. We reduce turnover and eliminate the need of required benefits such as health care or sick time.
Genesis House is a program of Livingston County Community Mental Health, and is made up of adults who have an array of employment experiences. Meaningful work is central to the livelihood of Genesis House members and they have demonstrated a striking dedication to their work.
